Progressive Childcare Academy, Inc. strives to meet the individual needs of each child enrolled in the center by providing quality curriculum and activities. We believe that giving care, love and learning are essential to our program.Our primary goal is to provide each child with a loving, caring, respectful and fair environment. We strive to provide an honest, safe and clean environment for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years old. We believe that children learn best by parent teacher involvement and by use of their academic, cognitive, social and fine motor skills. We plan activities that will enhance these skills such as writing, learning and recognizing names, ABC's, numbers, shapes, etc. We will also enhance running, skipping, lifting, grasping, holding, cutting, drawing, reasoning and imagination as well as relating to the expression and refining of the child's own feelings. Another goal is to challenge, motivate and stimulate each child to develop his/her capacity intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally. At PCCA, we also encourage a positive self image and make learning exciting and fun. We believe that giving care, love and learning are essential to our program.
Our staff is committed to fostering a comprehensive and balanced educational program for all students. We believe students must be taught through assessment based instruction, remediation and enrichment. Staff members have understanding of the developmental stages of children and teach to various learning styles. It is our belief that student achievement is reached through collaboration with the home, school and community. We value the play of young children as their means for translating experience into understanding. Learning opportunities are presented through well planned play activities, which are concrete, real and relevant to the lives of children.
